This represents the foundation of Alden's Carpet and Draperies FIFTY years in business. In 1957 Ted “Alden” Baloyan started a small carpet busines. He personally sold and installed each job. It was his goal to provide the best value to each customer regardless of their budget. Providing the best material is only half the job,a professional installation is the other half. As his reputation for quality work grew, so did the business. He trained each new crew and set the highest standards for their work.

In the 1960's Alden's begin selling and installing window coverings including custom drapery treatments and blinds

In the 1970's hardwood floors and vinyl were added and stone and tile floors in the 1990s. It can be said, if it goes on the floor or window, Alden's has it.

In 1994, Ted sold the business to John Asaro, who has a background of 20 years in the flooring industry. Ted however is still active in the business, working to serve his customers and community. John has continued operating the business with the same values the business was founded in.

Second and third generations have come back to Alden's for their flooring and window coverings, even though thay may have moved to some of the out lying communities.

In the 50 years Alden's has been in business many other flooring stores have come and gone.
